Artemis Fowl Sets Disney Strategy Against Covid-19
There’s no denying it. The world has changed in ways none of us could have ever expected. With social distancing at its peak, many industries have been forced to improvise and adapt in order to stay afloat. Entertainment is no exception.
Facing an approaching release date and an audience scared to go to theaters, Disney moved the official release of Artemis Fowl to their streaming service, Disney+, with successful results. So successful, in fact, that Bob Iger reports they may repeat the move for future films if the situation persists. The bigger films, such as Black Widow and Mulan, will maintain their theater releases. However, potential Disney+ release candidates may include:
The New Mutants, Soul, The One and Only Ivan, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, and Raya And The Last Dragon.
Meanwhile, let’s keep away from one another, and hope that our boy-genius Artemis finds a cure soon!
